Teachers' union rejects state decision to skip summer vacation

On Tuesday, the teachers’ union in South Kordofan rejected the authorities decision to skip the summer vacation starting at the end of March, for primary and secondary school students and teachers this year.

A source told Radio Tamazuj that students and teachers have a legitimate right to ask for their summer break.

The Ministry of Education and government of South Kordofan issued a decision last week for teachers and students to skip the vacation out of a fear of displacement of the state’s population to different parts of Sudan.
