Sudan approves ICRC plans for 2012

The Sudanese government has welcomed humanitarian assistance provided by the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) to Sudan, and approved its plans for 2012.

In a meeting between the director of the ICRC and the Minister for Social Services in Khartoum, the government praised 'the significant contribution' by the joint operation between the Sudanese Red Crescent Society and the ICRC.

The two organizations will continue to provide humanitarian assistance to Darfur and Blue Nile state.
