Mayol Kur, governor of the newly established Ruweng State has issued a number of decrees appointing his deputy, cabinet ministers, advisors  and two county commissioners.

According to the orders announced Tuesday, the governor appointed police general Mawien Makuac as his deputy. Makuac hails from Abiemnhom County, a move seen as a way to balance up power sharing between the two counties of the state.

Cabinet ministers include Samuel Angok as minister of information, Simon Yep as finance minister, Simon Nyok Deng as minister of education and others into different positions. 

Peter Dau was appointed political advisor and Ruben Chol as advisor for peace and reconciliation. Michael Mayom Manyiel was named commissioner of Parieng County.
