Thousands of South Sudanese pounds belonging to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs have allegedly gone missing, prompting the investigation several diplomats and staff.

One senior official working in ministry said that some diplomats have been arrested. He said at least seven people were investigated while others were questioned and then released.

A lawyer has been hired to defend seven of the Minsitry staff detained in relation to the missing funds.
