New Yida refugees angry at delay in food rations

Refugees at Yida camp in Unity state, South Sudan complained about the late distribution of food rations over the past week.

The coordinator responsible for women and children told Radio Tamazuj that new refugees at the camp have been experiencing a delay in rations.

Some camp residents also lost their registration cards in two fires that recently broke out at the camp.

The coordinator added the refugees did not fully understand the process of food distribution by international organisations that requires registration and other time consuming procedures.

She said this is causing discontent and restlessness amongst refugees.
