Flights carrying returnees leave Khartoum for South Sudan

Three airplanes carrying 99 South Sudanese elderly and disabled persons left Khartoum on Thursday for Wau and Aweil in South Sudan.

The flight was part of the program returning South Sudan citizens back to their country, supervised by the National Center for Displaced persons in coordination with the UN and International Organization for Migration.

The Director of National Center, Al-Sir Al-Omda told the government's SUNA new agency that flights will continue on Friday and Saturday, estimating the the number of Southerners to be transported as 360.
