A commercial vehicle was hijacked by unknown gunmen at Kiir Kalama area in South Sudan's Lol State on Friday afternoon, according to multiple sources.

The sources told Radio Tamazuj that a pickup vehicle owned by former office manager of South Sudan’s opposition leader Riek Machar, was hijacked at gunpoint on its way to Kalama to transport goods.

The same sources further said similar incidents happened in February this year. They accused members of the Arab Rizieigat tribe from Sudan of involvement in the recent incident.

They urged the relevant authorities to find a solution before the issue affects the flow of goods.

Radio Tamazuj was unable to reach local authorities for comment.
