At least two people have been arrested in Sudan’s West Kordofan State for attacking a vehicle carrying a Member of Parliament representing Lagawa constituency along the Lagawa-Al-Fula road on Sunday, a state official said.

The lawmaker was identified as Hamdan Ahmed Dahiya.

Speaking to Al Fula Radio on Monday, Abulgasim Al-Amin Baraka, the Governor of West Kordofan State, said two suspects were arrested in connection with the attack on Dahiya’s vehicle along the Lagawa-Al Fula road on Sunday.

The state official vowed to control criminal activities in the state.
