A deadly attack carried out by gunmen on a military truck carrying people left one civilian injured and three others missing in South Sudan’s Northern Liech State on Sunday, a senior security official said.

Northern Lierch Security Advisor Gordon Malou told Radio Tamazuj on Monday that the incident occurred when the military vehicle was coming from Mayom to Bentiu.

He accused rebel forces loyal to former First Vice President Riek Machar of involvement in the attack which he described as a criminal act.
