The arrested deputy head of accounts at the state-owned oil company (Nilepet) remains in captivity of National Security Services (NSS) agents in Juba, family members said.

Mark Mabil Aweer was arrested by national securiy officals in March for allegedly leaking secret information.

His sister told Radio Tamazuj on Wedensday that Mabil is still being detained by security officials in Juba and called for intervention of the relevent authorities, citing bad conditions their family was going through after the arrest of her brother.

"Since the arrest of brother Mabil, we as the family members have been trying our best without success. we are not getting responses,“ she said.

Separeately, his colleague at work said that the issue was not in the hand of the company anymore.
