The mayor of Maridi town has urged the people to keep the town and its surroundings clean in order to make it not just beautiful, but also a healthy place.

Speaking to Radio Tamazuj, Mayor Daniel Owudada said business places, NGOs and government institutions as well as houses should be kept clean to keep the town healthy.

The government official advised the people of Maridi town to end the practice of open defecation especially near the market.
