Ex-minister of physical infrastructure in Aweil welcomes removal

Akol Wol Mawien, former minister of physical infrastructure in Aweil State has issued a statement confirming and welcoming his removal from the cabinet position, but affirmed his commitment to support his successors.

Akol was the minister of physical infrastructure and water resources which has now been split into two separate ministries in the newly formed cabinet by Governor Yournew Wol Kuot.

Governor Wol on Sunday issued orders relieving and appointing advisors, cabinet ministers and deputy. The order retained the former deputy governor and gave him a new role as the minister of local government and law enforcement agency.

“Dear friends, relatives and colleagues, this is to keep you informed that I am relieved from my position as a minister in the state government. I have whole heartedly welcomed the governor’s decision and will continue to contribute towards the state government developments,” said Akol.

“Once again I want to congratulate my successors the state ministers of physical infrastructure and water resources upon their appointments. I wish them all the best as they assume their duties,” he added.
