Authorities in South Sudan’s Maridi State released the project officer of Maridi FM from custody on Friday, one day after he was detained by national security officials.

Morris Bazia, who works for Maridi Radio as project officer, was picked from his office by security agents on Thursday afternoon.

Multiples sources said that Morris was arrested for failing for send journalists to cover the state cabinet meeting last week.
