The mobile network operator, Zain has resumed its operations in Duk Pagak County of South Sudan’s Jonglei State last week after it was shutdown in 2013, a local official said on Sunday.
The county commissioner, James Yien Jal told Radio Tamazuj that resumption of the mobile network’s operations has excited citizens.
Yien said the locals can now connect to relatives outside the county.
“And also government activities will now run smoothly as we communicate with those in Bor,” he added.
Yien urged Zain to boost its network coverage to the entire county.
