A new youth initiative has begun in Damazin and Roseires towns of Sudan’s Blue Nile state to clean up waste.
The campaign was launched by an initiative from youth under the theme “initiative for the people”.
The campaign targets residential areas, markets, and streets and has received a wide responses from the citizens.
A number of citizens expressed their happiness for the campaign, stressing the absence of government services and the inability of state government to provide the basic services like keeping the streets clean.
Damazin town have witnessed in the past accumulation of refuse in the markets and on the roads.
