A sudanese businessman was killed in Yirol town of South Sudan’s Eastern Lakes State on Tuesday, a local official said.
Speaking to Radio Tamazuj on Wednesday, the minister of local government and law enforcement agency, Simon Tueny Mabor said the businessman was killed some kilometres from Yirol at the border with Terekeka State.
“It is very unfortunate that a Sudanese businessman from Darfur was killed by a suspected culprit who has been apprehended. He is now being investigated by the police,” Tueny said.
Tueny urged the Darfur business community in Eastern Lakes State to remain calm and let the state authorities bring the culprit to book.
