The late deputy governor of South Sudan’s Yei River State Augustino Kiri Gwolo was laid to rest at his home in Lainya County over the weekend.

Governor David Lokonga Moses, several government officials and religious leaders attended the burial ceremony at Lainya freedom square.

Addressing the mourners, Governor Lokonga the late deputy governor was a humble, disciplined and hardworking man in the state.

He called on the people of Yei River State to embrace peace in the state.

The late deputy governor was reported to have died of yellow fever at Juba medical complex last week.
