Human Rights Defenders in Yei River County and the Community Empowerment for Rehabilitation and Development or CEFORD on Monday called for the killers of journalist Moi Peter to be found and brought to justice.
CEFORD’s Human Rights Defender Benson Khamis Soro strongly condemned the killing of journalist Moi Peter, calling for the investigation, arrest and trial of murderers of the Corporate Newspaper journalist. “Without journalists, the nation will be gloomy,” said the human rights defender.
As reported by Radio Easter in Yei, Benson is also calling for justice for the Western Equatoria Speaker Bage Elisa, who was also shot dead in unclear circumstances soon after Moi. He appealed for calm in Western Equatoria State.
