City Star drew 1-1 on Sunday evening with Fly Sports in the ongoing Mayors Cup where 8 girls football clubs are taking part in the tournament in Yei Municipality.

The match played at the ACROSS playground witnessed Mary Dawa scoring for City Star in the early minutes of the second half before Fly Sports’ Sunday Susan’s equalized in the middle of the second half.

Another match that was to be played also on Sunday evening between Rainbow and Super Star at Yei’s Freedom Square ended with a default win for Rainbow. Rainbow won because Super Star did not turn up for the game. It is not clear why they did not show up for the game.

Three matches have already been played since the opening of the tournament on Saturday.

On Saturday on the opening day of the tournament Yei Central drew 0-0 with Peace Club. Yei Central was the winner of the previous competition.
