Deputy Governor of Yei River state Abraham Wani says investigation into the killing of late sister Veronika Rackova has started.

Three SPLA soldiers allegedly linked to the murder case are detained and undergoing questioning.

Abraham Wani said the committee is headed by Yei River county commissioner and other legal bodies who will hand over the findings to the high court in shortest time possible.

“The culprits are arrested… The committee is chaired by the commissioner of Yei county and other members. They are only to establish the fact that these people have done the crime.”

Late Veronika was the director of a Catholic medical facility in Yei and she was shot in the night while driving a patient in an ambulance to hospital. She passed away days later in hospital in Nairobi and is expected to be buried there this week.
