Stephen Ladu, Minister of Information in South Sudan’s Yei River State, on Thursday blamed the poor services of networks on rebel groups in the state.

This comes after local residents in rural areas of Yei accused the state government of restricting access to communications services provided by the mobile companies in the state.

Speaking to Radio Tamazuj on Thursday, Minister Ladu claimed that the opposition is restricting the companies that are providing communications services from going to Kajo-Keji, Tore, Otogo and Morobo counties.

Ladu said the state government is exerting efforts to make peace in order to bring an end to the ongoing conflict and deliver basic social services to the rural population in the state.

Vivacell Company is the only service provider in the state.
