Farmers in Yei River State say the support given to them by various humanitarian organizations has enabled them to record high crop yields this season.
The support has been in the form of seeds and farm tools.
Chaplain Luate, a farmer in Mugo village, told Radio Tamazuj on Tuesday that he was able to harvest quality maize, groundnuts, sorghum, beans and vegetables.
“This year, I planted maize, sorghum and vegetables like onions and cabbage on my five fedans of land. All my produces have been excellent and pleasing,” Luate said.
He added, “I have more sacks of fresh cabbage going to the markets in Yei town every day and by next year, I intend to cultivate more crops to improve my economic status”.
