A Lakes State policewoman has been arrested over her husband’s suicide in Wulu County.
The deceased, a 42-year-old sergeant, reportedly took his life following a quarrel with his police wife.
Lakes State Police Spokesperson Maj Elijah Mabor Makuach confirmed to Radio Tamazuj the arrest on Friday. He said the deceased reportedly shot himself dead at their residence in Wulu.
“The police authority decided to arrest his wife, who is a corporal in the Lakes State Police service,” he said.
Maj Makuach disclosed that the dead officer had a heated argument with his wife, but he could not reveal what the matter was.
“No one knows what the matter was, but we have arrested the wife to allow investigation,” he said.
