Police in Lakes State have arrested a husband over his wife’s death by suicide in Wulu County’s Domuloto Village on Wednesday.
Police spokesperson Elijah Mabor Makuac told Radio Tamazuj on Thursday that a 20-year-old woman committed suicide at Domuloto.
He said the case was reported to the police for investigation during which they found out that there were some injuries on the body of the deceased.
He said the police decided to arrest her husband and the investigations were going on to establish the actual cause of the death.
There was blood everywhere at the crime scene and the body bore several wounds. All these things need to be investigated, he said, adding that the body was transferred to the Rumbek State Hospital for a postmortem.
I always advise our people that suicide could sometimes be due to a pain a person is experiencing, but it is better to open up to others. There is no problem without a solution, he added.
