WHO representative Tarande Manzila said two other ambulances have already been handed over for use in Pibor.

Manzila said his organization has also donated two Land Cruisers for use in eradicating Guinea worm disease, as well as 288 bicycles.

Felix Ladu, Central Equatoria state Minister of Health, said the ambulances will reduce delays in getting pregnant women to health centers.

“We are thankful for the WHO for unveiling ten ambulances and two vehicles for strengthening disease control and reduction of mortal mortality,” he said.
