World Bank, EU to fund development projects in Warrap, S Sudan

The World Bank and European Union are funding development projects in counties of South Sudan’s Warrap state, a local official told Radio Tamazuj.

The World Bank and European Union are funding development projects in counties of South Sudan’s Warrap state, a local official told Radio Tamazuj.

State Minister of Local Government and former police inspector-general Achuil Tito Madut said the projects include roads, schools, and a hospital to reduce migration of citizens from villages to towns.

Achuil also said the state recently concluded a three-day workshop for civil servants from across the state.

He said that the capacity-building workshop aimed at training civil servants on public funds administration. He added that the trainings will continue over the next 18 months to discuss topics related to rural development.
