The Centre for Peace and Development in collaboration with the state ministry of information in South Sudan’s Wau State organized a workshop on peace-building and conflict resolution in the state on Monday.
Speaking during the opening of the workshop, Bona Gudnisio, state minister of information, said that the workshop came as a result of demands by the people of the state because they want peace and stability.
The local official appealed to citizens to embrace peace.
For their part, several participants including chiefs and traditional leaders predicted that the workshop will adopt recommendations to tackle rampant insecurity in the area.
