“Those people were attacked while in their house by a group of about eight Murle youth last night at 8 pm. A woman called Apath Obono, 26, and her 6-year-old son Karjay Lero were injured while her niece Odolla Odangi, 18, was abducted,” he said.

The local official said the injured are yet to be evacuated to a health facility for medical attention.

“Obudi is cut off from the Pochalla town by roads because it is muddy. So, we sent some to go and bring the child on a stretcher to the town for treatment,” he said.

“The woman killed and the abducted one were attacked while they were eating. These attacks have been occurring and we have reporting them but nothing is done. So, we are calling on GPAA authorities to intervene by stopping these yputh,” he said.

For his part, John Abulla, the acting GPAA chief administrator, said they will investigate the incident.

“I was informed last night that a woman was killed, another one abducted and a child injured by some criminals suspected to be from Murle. We will reach out to Jebel Boma officials to monitor the situation so that the abductee is recovered if found,” he said.
