Witnesses: three people killed by SPLA in Western Bahr el Ghazal

Eyewitnesses in South Sudan Western Bahr el Ghazal say that three people were killed in a shooting by SPLA forces on Sunday morning at the house of Chief Ferdinando Adam, head of a traditional court in Busari.

The son of the chief, identified as James Ferdinando Adm, was among three who killed.

Sources said that SPLA elements attacked the house of the chief which is only meters from the SPLA headquarters in Busari on Sunday.

“Around 7 o’clock in the morning a group of SPLA solider who were deployed in Busari attacked the house of Ferdinando Adam who is the chief of the traditional court in Busari and killed three people,” one witness said.

Meanwhile, the commissioner of Wau County Anthony Fada Taban said that there were separate incidents of shooting in Wau and thereabouts which resulted in additional casualties, but he declined to give details of these incidents.

The commissioner pointed out that a national investigation committee from Juba will come to Wau to investigate these incidents in the state.
