Secondary school teachers in Jebelain Locality in Sudan’s White Nile State have threatened to go on strike over the delayed payment of their allowances.
On Tuesday, the teachers marched to the education office where they demanded the government to address their issue.
In a petition seen by Radio Tamazuj, the teachers accused the ministry of education of withholding the allowances since last year.
The complaining teachers submitted their petition to the ministry of education and law enforcement agencies.
They threatened to lay down their tools if the government does not fulfil their demands.
