WFP distributes food to people affected by hunger in Pibor

The World Food Programme has started distribution of 600 metric tons of food items to people affected by hunger and diseases in Boma and Fertit in Greater Pibor area, according to a local official.

The World Food Programme has started distribution of 600 metric tons of food items to people affected by hunger and diseases in Boma and Fertit in Greater Pibor area, according to a local official.

Commissioner of Vertet County Joseph Gero told Radio Tamazuj on Thursday that WFP has started registration of citizens to receive food assistance.

He added that Medair organization have conducted a survey in the area recently and will open heath facilities in Boma and Verte counties to help the local populations get access to health services.
