Teachers in Sudan’s West Kordofan State on Thursday threatened to down their tools beginning next week if they are not paid their October dues which amount to 8 billion Sudanese Pounds.
Several teachers who spoke to Radio Tamazuj said there is no justification for their salary delay because the salary is sent from Khartoum.
A finance officer at the state ministry of finance accused the state governor, Abul Gasim Al-Amin Baraka of using funds meant for paying teachers to bribe parliamentarians to support his state policy.
