The influx of South Sudanese refugees into Sudan’s West Kordofan State continues, a senior government official said.
Sumaya Omar Jaber, Deputy Governor of West Kordofan, told Ashorooq TV that South Sudanese refugees are arriving daily to the area due to the ongoing war in various parts of South Sudan.
Sumaya pointed out that her government discussed with UNICEF’s representative in Sudan the projects being implemented by the organization in the state and its future programs to provide more services to citizens and South Sudanese refugees in the area.
She added that the UNICEF representative promised to open an office in the state to facilitate the provision of services needed by the locals.
