A group of MPs in Sudan’s West Kordofan state has started collecting signatures in support of a motion to impeach Governor Abulgasim Al-Amin Baraka.

A parliamentarian, who preferred anonymity, told Radio Tamazuj on Wednesday that the drive to collect signatures has already started to impeach the state governor, saying Al-Amin has failed to implement development projects and govern the state.

The MP added that the governor is always busy travels and other commitments including further studies. He claimed that the motion supports citizens’ call for removal of the state governor.
