The Commissioner of Al Fula locality in West Kordofan disclosed that state authorities are holding consultations with the intent of forming a “new inclusive government.”
“The outcome of the reshuffle has not yet been announced as consultations must be held with large sectors of the state which counts with different multi-ethnic groups,” said Commissioner Mahmud Hamid.
He affirmed that development projects are being undertaken in West Kordofan and that the capital Al Fula has “good basic services which qualify it to be the state capital.”
The reestablishment of West Kordofan was opposed by the Hamar tribe in An-Nahud and Lagawa citizens wanted West Kordofan to have two capitals: Al Fula and An-Nahud.
