West Kordofan governor vows to restore order

The governor of Sudan’s West Kordofan State Al Amir Abul-Gasim Al Amin on Sunday visited Baraka administrative unit in Al Salam locality in the state.

The governor of Sudan’s West Kordofan State Al Amir Abul-Gasim Al Amin on Sunday visited Baraka administrative unit in Al Salam locality in the state.

The visit aimed at acquainting himself with the security situation in the area, which is one of the corridors for Arab nomads.

Addressing a crowd, the governor vowed to punish whoever violates emergency orders imposed in the state recently. 

He confirmed his government’s commitment to make sure the rule of law and accountability prevail in the state. He called on the local community to cooperate with the government in order to restore security and stability for the sake of development.

He urged influential leaders and singers to contribute toward behavioural change so the local community can participate in security and development not killings.

The governor was accompanied by members of the security committee in the state.
