West Kordofan farmers blame Ministry for season failure

Failure to spray pesticide on West Kordofan farmlands has negatively affected the past agricultural season, according to Ad Dabab residents.

Farmers and citizens say the state Agricultural Ministry tuned a “blind eye” when they complained pests were destroying their crops.

Swarms of bird have finished up the sorghum which is the main food that people depend on in the area,” a local source told Radio Tamazuj.

Residents fear a “humanitarian crisis” due to soaring prices of sorghum in the market caused by its shortage.
