The West Kordofan State civil servants organized a three-day strike that started Monday due to non-payment of their salaries.

Ahmed Al Tom, a headmaster of Al Khadamat primary school in Babanusa, told Radio Tamazuj that the civil servants including teachers are on strike from Monday up to next Wednesday.

The senior teacher attributed the problem to non-payment of their salaries since October.

He hinted that the state workers’ union will organize an open strike in case the demands are not fulfilled by the authorities in the coming month.
