Authorities in Sudan’s West Kordufan State have blamed traditional leaders in the state for contributing to the failure of disagreement process in its second phase.

Authorities in Sudan’s West Kordufan State have blamed traditional leaders in the state for contributing to the failure of disagreement process in its second phase.

Abdulazeem Ahmed Rahamtallah, Minister of Physical Infrastructure and Housing, told reporters on Wednesday that the traditional leaders could not convince their people to cooperate with the team tasked with collection of firearms.

Rahamtallah warned against the proliferation of arms in the hands of civilians in the state.
