In El Geneina town of West Darfur State, a dynamic youth group has orchestrated a vibrant bazaar at the association’s headquarters. The bazaar kicked off on Tuesday and is slated to run for three days.
Shorouk Abu Bakr Abbas, a member of the organizing committee, told Radio Tamazuj Wednesday that the fundamental purpose of the bazaar is to showcase the current stability in the state, offering citizens both a reflection of reality and an enjoyable experience.
Abbas further explained that the bazaar encompasses various pavilions, including a cultural and commercial pavilion, a pavilion featuring diverse food options, and a section for gifts. “I have been following the committee overseeing the bazaar, which comprises five young individuals,” added Abbas.
He emphasized that the primary objective of establishing the bazaar is to contribute to the stability of El Geneina. Additionally, he disclosed the plans of the organizing committee, which involve coordinating Ramadan activities during the holy month, emphasizing that the bazaar is a monthly occurrence.
Abbas affirmed that the bazaar’s concept revolves around fostering entrepreneurship for the local youth. “The bazaar incorporates a concurrent cultural program showcasing the creative talents of young individuals, including singing, dancing, and poetry readings,” Abbas elaborated.
As per the observations of a Radio Tamazuj correspondent in El Geneina, the bazaar experienced a significant turnout, particularly among young people who attended the concurrent cultural program.
