Mohammed Osman Abdullah, the Executive Director of El Geneina Locality, has issued a set of local orders, as obtained by Radio Tamazuj.
The orders include prohibitions on livestock grazing within residential neighbourhoods and cutting down trees within the locality boundaries.
Additionally, the local orders impose fees on commercial Wi-Fi device usage, requiring licenses and annual service fees of two hundred thousand Sudanese pounds. Furthermore, shops involved in transferring, receiving, and buying and selling money are subject to fees, along with the obligation to obtain a license, with service fees also amounting to two hundred thousand Sudanese pounds.
The penalties for violating the grazing orders within neighbourhoods are specified as follows: ten thousand Sudanese pounds for the head of camels, five thousand for cows, and two thousand and five for goats. Non-payment may result in imprisonment for one year or a combination of both penalties.
In the case of violating orders regulating Wi-Fi devices, a fine of five hundred thousand Sudanese pounds is levied, with non-payment potentially leading to one-month imprisonment.
Regarding penalties for violating money transfer shops, including those involved in receiving and selling, a fine of one million pounds is imposed. Failure to comply may result in a six-month imprisonment.
