South Sudan’s National Ministry of Health on Thursday sent at least 964 cartons of lifesaving drugs to Wau Teaching hospital, a health official has said.
Dr. Thon Mangok, the hospital’s medical director lauded the ministry for the support and vowed to ensure that the drugs are utilized accordingly.
“Today [Thursday], we received 964 cartons of medicines from the national health ministry. We are going to use it well and form a board committee of the hospital which will from time to time give updates if we received medicines from Juba,” he said.
Dr. James Ambrose Ucin, the Director General at the Health ministry, said the cartons consist of drugs, delivery kits and other equipment.
He said drugs are sent to state hospitals after every four months.
