The Information Minister of Wau State on Tuesday said the commissioner for the state headquarters James Joseph was arrested by security officials over corruption.
Minister David John Pons told Radio Tamazuj that Joseph who is also a former agriculture minister was under custody on the charge of corruption case after two tractors disappeared in the state.
He said that the commissioner was arrested over graft after local leaders of Udici County reported that two of their tractors went missing when Joseph was the state agriculture minister.
John, who is also the state government spokesman, said the state headquarters commissioner’s arrest was made possible after government lifted his immunity.
He said James was under investigation pending trial.
