The governor of Wau State, one of South Sudan’s newly created states, Andrea Mayar Acho, has issued a gubernatorial decree appointing Edmund Simon Onango as commissioner of Ngo Baggari County.

The new commissioner replaces Anthony Fada Taban who rebelled against the state government and joined the armed opposition faction led by former vice president Riek Machar in August.

Governor Andrea also issued another decree appointing Francis Ibrahim as commissioner of Bessilia County after the state MP Charles Anthony Barande declined to take up this position in August.
