The commissioner of police in Western Bahr el Ghazal State on Tuesday announced a forceful crackdown on gangs, also known as niggers, in Wau town.

Major General Samuel Ajuong Chwar told the press at the state police headquarters in Wau that a rise in gang activity has led to skyrocketing criminality in the town.

“Your daughters are involved in criminal activities including illicit sex on the roads and they are killing their parents and you are supporting them but they are criminals,” Gen. Ajuong said.  “I am announcing that from now (Tuesday), we have started a crackdown against niggers (gangs) and if you have a child in a gang and they wear short trousers and have dreadlocks, we will shave off their hair.”

The Police boss disclosed that the gang members are mostly based in the Jebel Kher area and host dances every night.

“They are here in Jebel Kher conducting night clubs and causing a lot of problems and it is you (parents) who allow them to go dancing. Where is the future of this country? Gen. Ajoung asked. “I want parents including ministers and senior army officers to remove their children from the streets and advise them to be peaceful.”
