Wau new deputy governor takes oath, pledges to mend social fabric

Pasquale Joseph, the newly appointed deputy governor of South Sudan’s Wau State, has been sworn in alongside several state advisors and commissioners. 

Pasquale Joseph, the newly appointed deputy governor of South Sudan’s Wau State, has been sworn in alongside several state advisors and commissioners. 

In his remarks, the newly appointed deputy governor pledged to work with his colleagues in the government to bring security and stability in the state and to mend the social fabric destroyed by the war. 

He added that collective efforts are needed to achieve peaceful coexistence and stability in the state.

Pasquale replaces Andrea Dominic, who is still under security detention.
