Municipal authorities in Wau, Western Bahr al Ghazal have seized expired goods that were being kept at the market for several months.
The town mayor Arkangelo Anyar Anyar told Radio Tamazuj Thursday that they disposed of a large equinity of rotten foodstuffs in the presence of the police and members of commerce chamber on Saturday.
The local official estimated the quantity of the expired goods at 20 tons.
Last November, the Bureau of Standards carried out a similar campaign of confiscations of expired goods following a decision taken by the town mayor Anyar Anyar.
