South Sudan’s Wau State Governor Angelo Taban Biajo on Monday issued a directive relieving Baggari county commissioner Taban John Guu of his duties and named a replacement.

Taban appointed Luciano Thomas Abdallah as the new county commissioner of Baggari. The governor through the order did not give reasons for the change.

Speaking to press in Wau after his appointment, Thomas pledged to unite the people of Baggari and fully implement the peace agreement signed in September between the government and opposition parties.
