Wau defeats Rumbek 3-1 in peace tournament

In other matches, Juba beat Pibor by 6-2 at Juba Stadium, and Torit defeated Bor by 3 goals to 1 at Buluk. Malakal tied with Bentiu at Supiri.

On Sunday, Wau was defeated by Malakal by four goals to zero at Juba Sadium, Juba defeated Bor with two goals to one goal at Buluk, Torit beat Pibor 5-1 at Zahra, and Bentiu beat Rumbek by 2-0 at Supiri.

By this result, Wau leads Group B with six points, and Juba leads the Group A with six points. Group A includes Juba, Pibor, Bor and Torit; Group B includes Wau, Malakal, Rumbek and Bentiu.

The tournament is being sponsored by the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).
