Warrap State authorities to implement peace agreement

The Warrap State government announced it is committed to implementing the compromise peace agreement.

The state government urged all institutions and people of Warrap to support the government and work hard for peace and stability.

This comes after caretaker governor Akech Tong Aleu briefed his cabinet in Kuacjok after his return to Warrap from national capital Juba.

Rizeigat-Dinka peace meeting scheduled

Separately, state information minister Paul Dhel Gum said the chiefs from Twic, Abyei, and Gogrial West Counties will soon participate in a Rizeigat-Dinka Malual peace conference scheduled to take place in Northern Bahr el Ghazal state.

He said the conference aims to resolve disputes between Sudanese and South Sudanese living along the international border and improve security and trade.
